EASD 2017 will be held between 11 and 15 September 2017 in Lisbon. The members of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) will convene this year in the Feira Internacional de Lisboa. The latest developments in research into and treatment of diabetes will be presented and discussed during the congress.

EASD 2017 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa in Lisbon
The congress centre, Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL), chosen by the EASD is a modern and impressive congress venue. The exhibition halls are located on the former exhibition premises near the river Tejo.
The architectural beauty of the location, which is admired not just by lovers of modern architecture, has made the location a tourist magnet in Lisbon. Other places of interest apart from the trade fair include the high tech Lisbon Oriente railway station, the Ocenário, one of the largest marine aquaria in Europe as well as the futuristic Pavilhao Atlântico on the banks of the Tejo.
The European Association for the Study of Diabetes
The European Association for the Study of Diabetes undertakes research at a European level into pathological disorders of the sugar metabolism process and ensures that the new findings are disseminated without delay at conventions and in publications.
Members of the EASD include famous scientists and doctors as well as innumerable laboratory technicians, representatives of nursing staff and students. The European Association for the Study of Diabetes was founded in 1965 in Italy. Its headquarters, however, are in Düsseldorf.
